Overview
This guide answers the most common questions about Inframail's cold email infrastructure platform, including setup, pricing, deliverability, and technical capabilities.
Getting Started
What is Inframail?
Inframail is a cold email infrastructure platform designed for B2B marketing agencies and firms. It allows you to create unlimited email inboxes at a flat rate and automate your email infrastructure setup. The platform is built on a cloud platform with reputable IPs to ensure reliable email delivery.
What is email infrastructure?
Email infrastructure refers to the technical foundation that enables email sending and receiving. This includes domains, email inboxes, DNS records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), dedicated IPs, and proper configuration to ensure emails land in the inbox rather than spam folders.
Why should I optimize my email infrastructure?
Optimizing your email infrastructure improves your email deliverability, helping your messages reach the inbox instead of spam. Proper infrastructure setup includes:
Dedicated IPs with good reputation
Properly configured DNS records
Domain authentication
Email warmup processes
With optimized infrastructure, you can scale your cold email campaigns and generate more leads effectively.
Plans & Pricing
Are domains included with the plan?
No, domains are not included in your monthly subscription. However, you can purchase domains directly from the Inframail platform for easy setup. You can also bring your own domains that you already own and set them up in Inframail.
Do I need to pay additional money for the email inboxes?
No. Inframail offers unlimited email inboxes at a flat monthly rate with no additional per-inbox fees. This is one of the key cost advantages compared to Google Workspace or Outlook, which charge per mailbox.
Do I need to pay for the amount of emails I send?
No. You don't pay based on email volume. Your flat monthly subscription includes unlimited email sending, though you should follow safe sending limits (around 40 emails per inbox per day) to maintain good deliverability.
Do you offer a free trial?
Inframail does not currently offer a free trial or discounted trial rate. However, if you're not satisfied during your first month, Inframail offers a refund for the monthly subscription fee.
Refunds apply only to the monthly subscription fee. Fees for domains purchased through Inframail are non-refundable, as those domains remain under your ownership.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, you can cancel your Inframail subscription at any time without penalties or long-term commitments.
Do I keep my domains if I unsubscribe?
Yes. If you purchased domains through Inframail, you retain ownership of those domains even after canceling your subscription. You can transfer them to another registrar if needed.
Setup & Configuration
How long does setup take?
Inframail is designed for rapid setup. You can go from purchasing a domain to having ready-to-send inboxes in approximately 180 seconds (3 minutes). The platform automates SPF, DKIM, and DMARC record setup.
Do I still need to warmup with Inframail?
Yes, email warmup is still recommended. While Inframail provides dedicated IPs and proper infrastructure, you should gradually increase sending volume on new inboxes to build sender reputation. Use warmup tools or services to gradually ramp up sending before launching full campaigns.
How should I adjust warmup as I increase my outreach volume?
As you ramp up your sending volume (for example, gradually increasing to 40 emails per inbox), your warmup volume should scale proportionally with your outreach—not decrease. Think of it as matching your outreach 1:1, but in small increments over time.
Here's the recommended approach:
Start with low warmup volume when sending low outreach volume
Gradually increase both warmup and outreach together in small increments
Maintain the warmup volume as you reach your target sending limit
Don't jump straight to 40 emails—ramp up slowly over weeks
By scaling warmup alongside your outreach, your sending reputation grows steadily without triggering spam filters. This keeps your inbox healthy while you increase volume.
Can I bring domains that I already own over to Inframail?
Yes, you can add existing domains you own to Inframail. The platform will help you configure the necessary DNS records to set up your email infrastructure on those domains.
Can I add a custom tracking domain?
Yes, Inframail supports custom tracking domains to improve email deliverability and protect your primary sending domains.
Can I add a profile photo to my emails?
Yes, you can add profile photos to your email accounts to make your outreach more personalized and professional.
Technical Features
Can I send emails directly from Inframail?
No, Inframail is an email infrastructure provider, not a sending platform. You need to connect your Inframail inboxes to a cold email sending tool like Instantly.ai, Smartlead, or Reachinbox to send campaigns. Inframail provides the mailboxes and SMTP/IMAP credentials that you use with these platforms.
Is this dedicated email hosting?
Yes, Inframail provides dedicated email hosting on dedicated IPs. Each plan comes with dedicated IPs (1 IP for Unlimited Plan, 3 IPs for Agency Pack) to ensure your email reputation is isolated and protected.
Why would I need multiple IPs?
Multiple dedicated IPs allow you to:
Separate different clients or campaigns
Isolate reputation if one campaign underperforms
Scale sending volume across multiple IP addresses
Test different approaches without affecting your primary IP reputation
How many IPs do I need for large-scale operations?
The number of IPs you need depends on your total inbox count. Each IP can safely handle approximately 300-400 email inboxes for optimal performance and deliverability.
For example depending on your risk tolerance in case an IP goes down:
Up to 400 inboxes: 1 IP (Unlimited Plan)
Up to 1,200 inboxes: 3 IPs (Agency Pack)
2,000 inboxes: 5-7 IPs (Custom setup required)
What happens if an IP goes down?
In the rare event that an IP experiences issues, you would need to:
Pause all sending from inboxes on that IP immediately
Contact Inframail support to swap the problematic IP with a new one
Run warmup on the new IP for approximately 2 weeks before resuming full sending volume
The warmup period after an IP swap is essential to maintain deliverability. Skipping or rushing this process can harm your sender reputation and cause emails to land in spam folders. If absolutely necessary you can warmup for 1 week if you need to get sending out sooner.
How many emails can I send per day per inbox?
For best results and optimal deliverability, Inframail recommends sending a maximum of 40 emails per day per email account. This conservative limit helps maintain your sender reputation and ensures your emails consistently land in the inbox rather than spam.
When we say "total emails," this includes both warmup and campaign emails in a 70/30 split: 70% warmup emails (28 emails) and 30% campaign emails (12 emails) out of the 40 total. This means your actual campaign capacity per inbox is 12 emails per day, with the remaining 28 dedicated to maintaining inbox health through warmup.
To scale your sending volume, add more email inboxes rather than increasing the daily send limit per inbox. With unlimited inboxes included in your plan, you can easily expand capacity while maintaining excellent deliverability.
Can I send unlimited emails with Inframail?
While there are no hard limits or per-email fees, you should follow email best practices for deliverability. The recommended safe sending limit is 40-50 emails per inbox per day. With unlimited inboxes, you can scale your total volume by adding more inboxes rather than overloading individual accounts.
Deliverability
How is the email deliverability with Inframail?
Inframail is built with reputable IPs and achieves the best deliverability rates when used correctly. The platform includes:
Dedicated IPs with good sender reputation
Automatic SPF, DKIM, DMARC setup
Real-time deliverability monitoring dashboard
IP and domain health tracking
Delisting requests for blacklists
What is the Phantom redirect feature?
The Phantom redirect feature hides your domain redirects from Email Service Providers (ESPs) so your domains don't get flagged as cold email domains, helping you avoid the spam folder.
Comparisons
How do you compare to Instantly or Smartlead?
Inframail is not a competitor to Instantly or Smartlead—it's complementary. Instantly and Smartlead are email sending platforms, while Inframail provides the email infrastructure (inboxes, domains, IPs). You use Inframail to create mailboxes, then connect those mailboxes to platforms like Instantly or Smartlead for campaign management.
How do you compare to Mailchimp, Brevo, GetResponse?
These are email marketing platforms designed for newsletter and promotional email to opted-in lists. Inframail is specifically built for cold email outreach to prospects. Inframail focuses on infrastructure and deliverability for B2B cold outreach rather than marketing automation for existing subscribers.
How do you compare to Mailgun and Sendgrid?
Mailgun and Sendgrid are transactional email APIs for developers to send automated emails from applications. Inframail is purpose-built for B2B cold email campaigns with features like dedicated IPs, unlimited inboxes, and seamless integration with cold email platforms.
Can I cancel my Google and Outlook inboxes when I sign up?
Yes, many users switch from Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 to Inframail to save costs. Inframail provides unlimited inboxes at a flat rate, which is significantly cheaper than paying per-mailbox fees with Google or Outlook.
Account Management
Is there a limit to how many accounts I can set per domain?
There is no hard technical limit on the number of email accounts per domain. However, the recommended best practice is to set up 3-5 email accounts per domain for optimal deliverability and to avoid triggering spam filters.
Creating too many accounts on a single domain can harm deliverability. If you need more sending capacity, purchase additional domains rather than overloading one domain.
How do I understand which domain is my main domain?
Your main domain in Inframail is the domain used for DNS records and platform configuration. If you see an unexpected domain listed as your main domain (for example, you expected motionone.com but see motiontwo.com), this means that the domain shown was the one added to Inframail first or set as primary during setup.
If you need to change your main domain or add a different primary domain, contact Inframail support at [email protected].
Integration & Compatibility
Can I use Inframail with third-party email platforms?
Yes, Inframail mailboxes work with any platform that supports custom SMTP and IMAP settings. This includes:
Instantly.ai
Smartlead
Reachinbox
Woodpecker
And any other cold email platform with custom SMTP/IMAP support
Support & Resources
What are Inframail's support hours?
